Whatever difficulties we may be facing, I believe we were born for such a time as this. Yes, we have to grow and develop. We have to learn to live this life and navigate our journey, but we’re not alone. If we know Jesus, we are not alone. We have the word of God, the Spirit of God, and the Son of God. Our eternal citizenship is in the Kingdom of God. The things of this life are temporary (it may not seem that way, but they are), and we need to focus our lives on God’s grace.
The psalmist wrote, “He made known His ways to Moses,
His acts to the children of Israel” (Psalm 103:7–8). To often we are wanting to see God’s acts, His miracles and deliverances in our lives. And we should, and that is fine. But consider that Israel saw God’s deliverance because Moses knew God’s ways. More than seeing God’s acts, we should seek to know God’s ways.
It’s not by accident that we were born in such a time as this, but to get the most out of our lives, and to get through this age victoriously, we need to act on the word of God according to the knowledge we have and continue to grow.
We were born for such a time as this, and God has provided all we need in Christ Jesus to glorify Him. Don’t be afraid of the future. Know that God has a plan for us and that plan will bless many others, not by our might nor by our power, but by His Spirit (Zechariah 4:6).
Stay strong and prepared.
