“And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21).
Every time we use the name of Jesus, we declare what Jesus has done for us.
Jesus has saved us from our sins.
Jesus has saved us from the curse of those sins.
Jesus has, in place of the curse of sin, brought us the blessing.
We must know that Jesus saved us from out sins. We must know that He delivered us from the curse of sin, and we must know what is the blessing Jesus purchased for us.
This is why, for example, when demons are commanded to leave a possessed person in the name of Jesus, the demons must leave. The Holy Spirit gets involved to insure that what Jesus has done for humanity is carried out.
This is why, for example, we pray for the sick in Jesus’ name.
This is why whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
When we use that name, we’re asking the powers of Heaven to carry out what Jesus has done for us.
Stay strong and prepared!
