Taxes And Socialism

Lately I’ve been hearing, in the defense of socialism, that we pay taxes that go for the common good for such things as police, fire, and national defense. We’ll, the socialist may use taxes for their goals, but so do all governments.

Taxes aren’t new with socialism. From the earliest dates known, taxes have been a part of life. Governments control people through taxes, politicians get rich by taxation, and there are social programs that use taxes for the common good — such as national defense. But mostly, government control and personal wealth seem to be the greatest use of taxes (in my opinion). No, taxes have been around a long, long time.

Socialism uses taxes in the same manner as other forms of government. Only, western socialism uses taxes for many social programs that benefit the select few that the government deems worthy to receive. The “worthy” always seems to benefit the government’s agendas and greater control of power. Not surprisingly.

Socialism is an epoch in the Marxist belief that life revolves around the production of materials and goods, and is an evolutionary process.

Well, life doesn’t revolve around materials and goods. It revolves around relationships. It starts with our relationship with God, then the family, and carries out from there. Sure, we use materials and goods, we also shower and shave, but life doesn’t revolve around showering and shaving. We can have all the material things we desire, and fail at life. I heard a clinical psychologist say that most suicides are done by affluent people and not the less affluent. That’s something to ponder.

Socialism is the second to the last epoch of Marx’s dialectical materialist belief. The third being capitalism and the last epoch being communism. Socialism is the epoch that eliminates all opposition to communism, brings the means of production under government control, and eliminates personal property and rights. Those that don’t support the socialist movement are to be murdered or imprisoned in the guise of “reeducation.” The belief being that all that are opposed to communism will be eliminated, leaving only those that can bring about the utopian society of communism. Not only is this plan revealed in communist documents, but it’s also historically proven.

The argument that a nation is socialist because government agencies are supported by taxes is ludicrous! I find it amazing how so many believe this. I call this “willfully ignorant.” Truth is cast down and idealism is promoted no matter what the facts are just as the scripture says:

(NKJV) “Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived” (2 Timothy 3:12, 13).
